The East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame was founded in 1996 and is now in its 29th year, a testament to the foundation built by Cecil Lear during his 21 years as President.
The ECSHOF now has 188 Inductees and another 11 will enter the Hall of Fame in the Class of 2026.
The Board of Director’s vision is to preserve the rich history of East Coast Surfers who made the RIght Coast truly special and appreciated around the world. We do this through our regular updates to the website, on weekly posts on social media, in the quarterly newsletter, by attendance at Surf Expo where the ECSHOF is now the “Presenting Sponsor” of the “Florida Shape-Off” hosted by Surf Expo and produced by Hall of Famer Ricky Carroll. And, of course, by inducting a new Class of Hall of Famers every two years.
To continue doing this work, we need your support. As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, the ECSHOF survives on the generosity of fans, friends and Inductees.
We ask that you consider making a one-time contribution to the ECSHOF. Even better, make a donation monthly or annually. Any amount is appreciated and will help fund the continued operation of the Hall of Fame. All donations of $250 and more will be recognized on the ECSHOF website.
